What is the Referral Program?
A rewards program for anyone who refers individuals to refinance a student loan with ELFI.(1)
What does the referred party have to do?
The referral recipient must complete the following steps for both parties to be eligible for the referral bonus:
- Use the personal referral link and complete the ELFI application process.
- The referral recipient must refinance a loan of $10,000 or more ELFI within 90 days of starting their application using the referral link to receive the referral bonus.(1)
When someone registers and shares the program with their friends, what happens?
If someone registers for the referral program and shares their personal referral link, then they will receive full credit for any eligible referrals. Taxes are the sole responsibility of each recipient.
What are the eligibility requirements for the Referral Program?
An individual will be eligible for the referral as long as they are not a current ELFI customer who is refinancing their existing ELFI loans or customers who have refinanced with ELFI previously. For the protection of customer privacy, ELFI will NOT notify you that a specific individual has registered and completed an ELFI loan. You will be mailed a $400 cash bonus check within 6-8 weeks after both the loan of $10,000 or more has been disbursed and you have provided ELFI with a completed IRS form W-9. Taxes are the sole responsibility of each recipient. Subject to credit approval. Program requirements apply.
If someone doesn’t register after clicking my referral link but refinances, do I still get the referral bonus?
You can only earn the $400 cash bonus if the referred friend begins their application using the personalized referral link. The referred individual must also refinance their student loan(s) with ELFI.
When will I receive my $400 cash bonus?
You will be mailed your cash bonus via check within 6-8 weeks after the ELFI loan disbursement. You must provide a completed IRS W-9 form. Taxes are the sole responsibility of each recipient. Subject to credit approval. Program requirements apply.
